10. About the Mt. and the woods

Those who don't have any eye for the beauty of the Mt.,

Don't smell the deep sweet of the woods.

It's because they don't eye them up and down.

Those who love to stroll the Mt. in the least.

Are those who need to take a walk in the woods the most.

Walk and live fat,

Lying in bed, you'll have a fat chance of life.



Get enough exercise in them,

And the walk will do you good.

It's the standing tooth and nail,

To keep one's health against oneself.

Phytoncide, it's another name of health.

The man who gets it, will make good in health.

I'm big on the Mt. criming,

And walking the woods besides,

Since they teach me pleasure and endurance hands down.

Phytoncide is a tree's scents which was named like that by Dr. B. P. Tokin,

a Russian scientist who found that plants give off some substances which

prevent them to be eaten by insects and animals.

산의 아름다움을 느끼지 못 하는자는

숲의 그윽한 향기 느끼지 못한다.

그것은 그의 눈이 그것들을 알아보지 못하기 때문이다.

가장 산을 싫어하는 사람은

가장 숲을 필요로 하는 사람이다.

걸으면 살고,

누우면 죽는다.


산과 숲을 잘 이용하면,

건강을 얻으며,

그것은 자기와의,

처절한 싸움이다.

피톤치드는 건강의 대명사다.

이것을 얻는자가 건강의 승리자다.

나는 산을 사랑한다,

고로 숲도 사랑한다.

그것은 나에게 어김없이 기쁨과 인내를 주기때문이다.
