Facing the Southwest in the Korean Peninsular,
It's the center of the Honam.
Being the branch stream of the Youngsan,
It's an open field around the Geugrag river.
At the traditional plow,
It's got down to develope.
It's the well matched,
With the topless art town such as,
Literature, songs, and drawing pictures.
Generally, Culture rushes,
From the downtown to the district,
And runs down from the swell site,
to the nothing.
But we have it,
That is poles apart,
That's the Pansori Opera.
Keeping up the national nativity,
We have whooped it up for the Pansori,
In the prosperous art instinct,
Since 18 century.
The Pansori of all the people,
Smiled on the Royal Palace,
And was the toast of the town,
In our national culture.
Pansori is the two person's Opera,
Of the Korean tradition.
It has a ballad singer,
A drummer and audience.
Sometimes, the drummer becomes,
An oppositer to the singer,
In the opera,
Or try to sell the audience.
We call it Deugeum,
To make perfect in the voice,
Learning the ropes.
And we need awful having efforts,
And having a one-tract mind,
In a long practice such as 30 years.
We have three branches in Pansori,
According to their characters.
They are Dongpyeonje, Seopyeonje,
And Junggoje.
Song Hongrog is the mother to Dongpyeonje,
In the East area of the Seomjin River,
Sung at Unbong, Gurye, and Sunchang.
It gives us grandeur, noble mind,
And manly characters.
Park Yujin is the mother to Seopyeonje,
In the west area of the Seomjin,
Sung at Goangju, Naju and Boseong.
It gives us so many kinds of voice colors,
And very tasty sounds.
It's got try and want, sorrow,
And womanly ones.
Yeomgedal and Kim Seongog are,
The mothers to Junggoje,
Sung in the Gyunggi and Chungcheong.
It's monotonous, humble in the color.
We have six kinds of stories in the Pansori,
That's Chunhyang Ga, Simcheong Ga,
Bargtaryeong, Sugung Ga, Jeogbyeog Ga,
And Byeongangsoi Ga.

A great Master in Pansori Opera, Im Bang Ul(His stage name)
He was born at GoangSan in Goangju(1905-1961).
His full name is Im Seunggeun.

Song Gang is the river near the Dam Yang.
He was born in seoul (1536-1593) but had lived at Dam Yang
in Jeon Nam which was his grand father's home town for
a long time. It was redrawn in 2003.
His poetries are Goandong Byeol Gog, Samiingog, Sogmiingog
and Seongsan Byeol Gog which were the 4 pieces in all.
His poems are 107 pieces in all.
